Jaipur teen dies ‘after eating patties’ in school, parents say treatment was delayed

A 17-year-old student at Maharana Pratap School in Jaipur, Prince Soni, passed away after consuming patties in the school cafeteria. His mother, Nirmala Soni, filed a complaint alleging that the school's response was delayed and that medical care should have been provided promptly. According to the FIR, Prince vomited and became unconscious while in the school restroom during lunchtime.

The school authorities did not respond to requests for comment. The FIR was filed under section 106 of the Indian Penal Code for causing death by negligence. A post-mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death, and the school's CCTV footage and the food sample from the canteen will be collected for further investigation.
