Indian Navy’s Valour To Be Showcased At Lucknow’s CG City From August 15, Grand Museum To Open To The Public

Lucknow will celebrate Independence Day by unveiling a unique tribute to the Indian Navy's valour at the newly opened CG City museum. The Nausena Shaurya Vatika, located near the Urban Wetland, will be accessible to the public starting August 15, 2026. Developed under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's leadership, the museum aims to enhance the state's tourism and public amenity offerings.

Operated by the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA), the museum will be free for entry during the initial two weeks, with subsequent admission fees set at ₹25 for children and ₹50 for adults. The museum remains open from 10 am to 8 pm.

The grand opening ceremony will see the 3 UP Naval Unit hoist the national flag on August 15. Visitors will be captivated by authentic naval equipment, including the TU-142 maritime patrol aircraft, information on the INS Gomati ship, its capstan drum, and other significant naval artifacts. The museum also boasts a restaurant/cafeteria to cater to visitors' needs. This prestigious complex will not only educate but also ignite a sense of pride in the country's defence system and military technology among the youth.
