IAS Officer Neha Marvya Faces Staff Protest In Bhopal Over Alleged Misbehaviour And Threats

In Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, a group of officers and employees from the Tribal Area Development Programme went on a pen-down strike on Friday to protest against their director, Neha Marvya. The employees alleged that Marvya had a pattern of misbehaving with them, threatening to withhold increments, suspend their employment, and issue show-cause notices.

According to witnesses, Marvya recently humiliated two female directors by dismissing them from a meeting hall. The department oversees over 450 projects across the state and requires immediate information about them, but the director allegedly delays providing records and threatens employees with suspension if the information is delayed.

State SC/ST Commission Chairman Ramlal Rautel has also expressed anger over Marvya's work style, questioning the implementation of schemes, available funds, and efficiency. The commission also raised concerns about ignoring the families of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTG). Neha Marvya has a history of courting controversies, including a dispute with former minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia when she was an SDM in Shivpuri, and conflicts with various officials and politicians in her previous postings.
