Google Meet can now take notes even for in-person meetings, here’s how

Google Meet's "Take notes for me" feature has expanded to support in-person meetings, creating transcripts, summaries, and action items in a Google Doc after the session. This feature is now available on Android, web, and iOS devices for eligible Google AI and Workspace plans. Speech recognition technology has rapidly advanced in the past year, with voice typing becoming increasingly accurate, even for offline discussions.

While some brands have turned to specialized hardware for capturing offline conversations, Google aims to provide a more accessible solution without the need for extra gadgets. The feature was first previewed at Cloud Next in April and is now rolling out to a wider audience.
