Ginius Drops ‘Here’s Where We Once Were

British-Ghanaian music producer, singer, and songwriter Ginius has released her long-awaited new project, 'Here's Where We Once Were.' Described as her most personal body of work to date, the album marks a significant shift for Ginius, as she dives deep into vulnerability, memory, and healing. The tape, now available on all major streaming platforms, blends Afro R&B, Amapiano, and Ginius' signature "afro blend" – a vibrant fusion of Ghanaian Highlife, modern Afropop, and Contemporary R&B.

Production on the project was handled by a select group of talented producers. Insvne Auggie contributed four tracks, including 'Love Me Softly', 'Woman', 'Different (Remix)', and 'So You Do'. Joker produced 'Test Drive', Okukuseku the Bang Machine handled 'Lost & Numb', while KFM Dadaba produced 'Time & Attention' – a track that started as a pure freestyle before being mixed and mastered by Van Boied.

Ginius expressed her feelings about the project, stating that it is the most authentic music she has ever written. Many of the songs have been based on real-life experiences, making this a tape that every part has been a reality at some point in her life. She shared that this marks the beginning of the end, simply put.

The album takes the listener on a journey through the full spectrum of love – from infatuation and joy, to disbelief and heartbreak, culminating in a contemplative exploration of how love ultimately ends. While the project doesn't shy away from the pain of grief, it also takes time to honor and celebrate the memories that were once shared.

Ginius has built her career on staying connected to her cultural roots, positioning herself as more than just a singer or beatmaker. She is widely regarded as a producer's producer, creating soundscapes that resonate deeply with her loyal fan base, the Copilots.
