Fadhlina urges PKR members to focus on ideas instead of exploiting religion

In a recent address at the 2026 Wanita PKR National Congress, Fadhlina Sidek, the chief of the Women's Division of the Parti Kesatuan Nasional (PKR), cautioned her fellow party members against exploiting religious matters for political gain. She emphasized that political competition should be based on the ability to offer the best solutions to the public, rather than on religious issues.

Fadhlina stressed the importance of respecting faith and not inciting people over religious matters, particularly during election periods. "We should not disparage one another; instead, we should focus on broadening our horizons through ideas and concepts, and who can provide better solutions," she stated.

Furthermore, Fadhlina urged PKR leaders and members to reconnect with the grassroots, advocating for a stronger bond with the people. She called for party leaders at all levels to remain sensitive to the needs of their communities and to take action to assist those in need. "Look around your neighbors' homes; there may be many things that require our help," she reminded them.

This appeal for a return to the party's foundation of serving the people was reinforced by Fadhlina, who also reminded members to remain loyal and steadfast in their commitment to the party despite facing various challenges.

She reiterated that the party's strength lies in hard work and the readiness of its machinery at all levels to ensure that the joint struggle with the people can continue. "Let's continue our hard work, remain loyal, committed, and confident in this struggle. Insha-Allah, I am very confident that we will do better," concluded Fadhlina.
