Crystal Palace target Fares Chaïbi while Exequiel Palacios pushes for Ipswich transfer

Crystal Palace are eyeing Eintracht Frankfurt's Farès Chaïbi, while Ipswich Town is attempting to secure Bayer Leverkusen's Exequiel Palacios. Two Bundesliga midfielders might head to the Premier League before the transfer deadline. Sport Bild reports that Crystal Palace are considering a move for Chaïbi, though no formal offer has been made to Frankfurt.

Chaïbi's versatility, as a central or forward midfielder, makes him an attractive target for the Eagles. His performances for the Algerian national team have boosted his profile since joining Frankfurt in 2023. Chaïbi's presence would not disrupt Eintracht's preferred midfield partnership of Noël Aséko and Raphael Onyedika. Meanwhile, Exequiel Palacios has informed Bayer Leverkusen of his desire to leave, which could significantly impact Leverkusen's midfield.

Ipswich Town is interested in Palacios, having offered around €20m, while Leverkusen believes the player's worth is closer to €35m. Palacios may be open to moving to Ipswich, as he initially preferred a Premier League move to a top English club. Both transfers are nearing their final stages.
