Capelli Sport to kit runners for Accra Inter-City Marathon

Capelli Sport, a renowned sportswear brand from the United States, has announced that it will supply all participants in the 2026 Tampico Accra Inter-City Marathon with premium running kits. The marathon, scheduled for October 10, 2026, is anticipated to draw more than 2,000 athletes and fitness enthusiasts. The prestigious partnership marks a significant milestone, as Capelli Sport becomes the official kit sponsor for this highly anticipated event.

The Race Director, William Ezah, expressed his enthusiasm regarding this development, stating that the athletes will be well-equipped and ready for the challenge ahead. The inclusion of an international sport kits company in the race sponsorship has undoubtedly elevated the profile of the Accra Inter-City Marathon, making it the first event to receive such support from a global sportswear provider.

Ghana Athletics, the governing body of athletics in Ghana, has endorsed the marathon, adding to its credibility and prestige. In a first for the race, Ghana Athletics will introduce an electronic timing system, ensuring accurate results and maintaining the integrity of the competition. The event will feature two categories: a 21-kilometer race and a 5-kilometer race, open to athletes, fitness club members, and all race aficionados.

The marathon will commence at the Trust Sports Emporium, also known as the Bukom Boxing Arena, and will traverse some of Accra's principal streets, culminating at the same starting point.
