BTS is winning over more Americans, with favourability hitting record high

SEOUL, Aug 14 — The South Korean boy band BTS has achieved a record high favourability rating among US respondents, according to new data. In the second quarter, 46 percent of Americans surveyed expressed a positive impression of the group, a significant 12 percentage point increase from the initial rating of 34 percent, as reported by Yonhap News Agency.

The information was provided by BTS' agency, BigHit Music, which cited data from Luminate, a global music analytics firm tracking the metric since 2021. The latest poll also revealed that 42 percent of respondents were familiar with BTS, a notable rise from the average 24 percent awareness rate among all artists surveyed. BigHit Music emphasized that these findings indicate BTS has cultivated a wide-ranging support base in the United States, expanding beyond its existing fan base.

The agency noted, "The latest survey results show that BTS has established a broad base of public support in the United States that extends beyond its fandom."
