Bats erupt, Angels take series over Rangers

In a 7-0 victory over the Texas Rangers, the Los Angeles Angels showcased their offensive resurgence, ending a 16-game streak of failing to score five runs or more. The Angels recorded 15 hits, with seven of them coming with two strikes, during the game at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. Manager Kurt Suzuki emphasized the team's focus on battling, focusing on not giving themselves up, and minimizing strikeouts.

Every batter had a hit in the game, with four Angels, including Mike Trout and Denzer Guzman, having multi-hit performances. Trout, who had notched three hits in consecutive games for the first time since May 2018, raised his batting average for the season from .235 to .245. The offense exploded in the fourth inning, scoring four runs on six hits against left-hander Jordan Montgomery, with three of those hits coming with two strikes.

The team's defense also played a crucial role, with six out of the seven RBIs coming from the bottom of the lineup. Left-hander Walbert Ureña had an impressive outing, pitching six shutout innings and allowing only two hits and two walks, while striking out five.
