‘At the end of it, I was tired…’ : Harry Brook on captaining against India

Harry Brook, England's white-ball captain, recently spoke about the challenges of captaining the team against India. Brook admitted he was 'tired' after the T20I and ODI series against India, which England won 4-0 and 2-1 respectively. He expressed his satisfaction at returning to The Hundred as just a batsman. Brook has been England's fastest player to reach 3,000 Test runs in terms of balls faced.

The 30-year-old batsman is currently ranked second in ICC Test rankings, eighth in ICC T20I rankings, and 17th in ICC ODI rankings. Brook, who captained the team last season before stepping down, spoke highly of The Hundred, calling it the highest standard in English domestic cricket. The competition features four overseas players, all of whom are international talents.

Brook praised the opportunity for players to push their cases forward in The Hundred. Brook also shared a fond memory of his relationship with fellow Yorkshire player Joe Root, whom he had first bowled to in the nets at Yorkshire when he was 14.
