A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murdering his ex-lover after being dissatisfied with the police's decision not to indict on a stalking charge. On the 4th, the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office said that it had detained and indicted the man on charges of murder and violation of the Special Act on Punishment of Domestic Violence Crimes, etc. According to the prosecution, the suspect, Mr. A, killed his ex-lover, Ms. B, at around 9:40 am on August 31 last year, at his home in Suwon. An investigation found that Mr. A had been physically and emotionally abusive to Ms. B while they were in a relationship. After they broke up, Ms. B filed a stalking complaint against Mr. A with the police in June last year. However, the prosecution decided not to indict Mr. A on the stalking charge, and two months later, Mr. A committed the crime. The prosecution said, "We will strictly punish the defendant, who committed a heinous crime, showing no regret or reflection."
