YEA provides skills training equipment to beneficiaries in Western North Region

The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) recently distributed essential skills training equipment to beneficiaries in the Western North Region. This initiative aims to equip young people with practical resources necessary to establish sustainable livelihoods. YEA CEO Malik Basintale presented the equipment to the Western North Regional Director, who is responsible for distributing the items to beneficiaries under the Agency’s various Skills Training Modules.

The provided equipment supports young people undergoing training in multiple trades, including hairdressing, beauty care, tailoring, baking, auto mechanics, construction, electrical works, and carpentry. By supplying these tools, the YEA seeks to demonstrate its commitment to making skills training more effective, extending beyond classroom instruction.

Mr. Basintale emphasized that training without access to relevant equipment could hinder beneficiaries' ability to apply their newly acquired skills in real-life situations and limit their potential for productive careers.

The CEO explained that supplying the equipment is intended to bolster beneficiaries' capacity, enhance their employability, and empower them to achieve economic independence. The provided tools will subsequently be distributed across the Western North Region to support trainees in their respective trades and enable them to apply their learned skills. This initiative is part of the YEA's broader efforts to promote practical skills development and create pathways for young people to secure stable employment and livelihoods.
