Only a month prior, OpenAI lost its number two executive, Fidji Simo, who went on medical leave and ultimately decided to leave due to health issues. Additionally, ethicist Chloé Bakalar departed the company, a departure that was only recently revealed in a Financial Times report.

The tenures of the departing executives vary, with some staying with the company for years and others leaving after just a few months. These recent departures have raised concerns about OpenAI's safety protocols, especially following a few high-profile security incidents.
