Why Davido should apologise to Okpebholo over WAEC result troll — Lawyer

Legal expert Timothy Tugbiyele has urged Afrobeats star Davido to apologize to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo after the musician shared what appeared to be the governor's WAEC result on social media. According to Tugbiyele, Davido should not have engaged the governor in such a manner. The Edo governor had previously criticized his political rival, Ademola Adeleke, over his dancing and mockingly shared his WAEC results.

Tugbiyele argues that although Okpebholo's results were not impressive, it is inappropriate for Davido to ridicule the governor. He emphasizes that Adeleke and the governor are not in the same social class and should not engage with each other on the same level. Tugbiyele suggests that Davido and Okpebholo should respond to each other through official channels, rather than allowing Davido to make personal remarks.

The lawyer also rejects the notion that such exchanges are typical of political rivalries, stating that attacking opponents below the belt is not fair in politics. Tugbiyele encourages Davido to make amends, citing his own experience of poor academic results and his father's encouragement.
