Who is Eugene Horsch? All we know about man at center of Olney ‘mystery house’ probe as ‘dark’ videos, photos found

Eugene Horsch, a 44-year-old man, has emerged as the central figure in a recent investigation into a "mystery house" in Philadelphia's Olney neighborhood. Horsch was pulled over on June 19, 2026, by a park ranger near Independence Mall, along with a female passenger. The passenger, later identified as 27-year-old Maribel Fresses, was found to be using a fake ID.

Inside Horsch's home on West Chew Avenue, authorities discovered two handguns, $8,000 worth of illegal drugs, and disturbing videos and images of two women, Maribel Fresses and Gabriella Amarando, both of whom were declared dead by the medical examiner. However, the cause of their deaths remains unclear. Horsch was indicted on federal charges related to false FBI credentials and possession of a firearm by a felon.

The investigation, which has involved over 95 search warrants, has also uncovered a marijuana grow operation, a home lab with an unknown substance, and more than 10,000 pages of drawings and writings. The Philadelphia Police Department is urging anyone with information about the house or their interactions with Horsch and his family to come forward.
