Ahead of India's 80th Independence Day on August 15, 2026, the Ministry of Culture has released stunning images of the Tiranga Safari held in Kaimur Hills, Bihar. The breathtaking visuals have drawn significant attention as preparations for the national festival intensify nationwide. In an Instagram post, the Ministry shared pictures of the Kaimur Hills and explained, "Under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, Tiranga Safari was organised along with the hoisting of the Indian tricolour in the forests and lakes of the wildlife sanctuary located in Kaimur, Bihar."

The Kaimur Hills are situated at the eastern end of the Vindhya Range, spanning about 483 kilometres (300 miles) across parts of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar. Known for its scenic beauty, lush forests, waterfalls, and rich biodiversity, the region also boasts historical and cultural landmarks, making it a significant destination.

The Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary, the largest in Bihar, is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. The Ministry's images highlight the striking contrast of the national flag against the backdrop of the lush green hills, symbolizing India's unity, heritage, and natural splendor during the festive period leading up to Independence Day.
