Earlier this week, on August 10, Verizon reported that vandalism in Southern California had disrupted services. Law enforcement is involved in the investigation, and repairs are underway, with service expected to be restored within the next couple of hours. However, it remains unknown if the current issue is related to the previous incident.

Users have been complaining about the outage on Downdetector, X, and other platforms, with many reporting issues with Verizon cellular service. One user wrote, "Calling Michigan, dead air then Call Failed," while another said, "Grand Rapids Michigan. No internet, cell service for Verizon business since 10 pm eastern time." Some expressed frustration with the situation, stating, "I had no bars a few minutes ago," and asking, "Is anyone with Verizon not able to make calls right now?"

Verizon has acknowledged the issues, urging customers to send them a direct message to check their network and get reconnected. Complaints about Straight Talk also emerged, with hundreds facing issues on Downdetector.
