Two directors in Perak plead not guilty to faking Socso job incentive claims

Two company directors, Leong Chooi Ying and Phun Wing Kei, appeared in the Sessions Court in Perak and entered their pleas not guilty to charges of submitting false documents related to Perkeso's Daya Kerjaya 2.0 incentive claims. Leong, a director at MS Solution Management Services and MN Tree Resources, and Phun, a director at CKIN Management Services and Diligent Cleaning Solution, were accused of submitting fake Employee Confirmation Forms to Perkeso officers with the intent to deceive.

The charges were filed under Section 18 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act, which imposes a maximum 20-year prison sentence and a fine of at least five times the false claim amount, or RM10,000, whichever is higher. Bail was set at RM7,000 for Leong and RM8,000 for Phun, each with one surety. They were required to report to the MACC monthly, surrender their passports, and refrain from contacting witnesses. The next hearing for both cases was scheduled for September 17.
