A woman seen behind US President Donald Trump during a White House Oval Office event has debunked a viral theory claiming she was secretly using a device to keep him awake. Jayme Leagh Franklin, a former White House official and founder of conservative media platform The Conservateur, addressed the speculation after videos showed her touching her stomach while Trump appeared to doze off.

Franklin humorously dismissed the "zapper" theory, stating "I'm just pregnant you weirdos." Her husband also debunked other theories, including one about a mute button on her. Franklin, who worked in Trump's 2020 campaign and served as director of correspondence during his first term, appeared at the event to support parents' concerns about the US childhood vaccination schedule.
