SUCC slams mode of protest against Sanskrit varsity V-C

The Save University Campaign Committee (SUCC) has expressed strong disapproval of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI)’s method of protesting against the Vice-Chancellor (V-C) of Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit. During a Syndicate meeting, SFI activists staged a mock funeral of the V-C, which the committee deemed as a form of mental torture and character assassination against the teaching community.

The SUCC also cited a similar incident at a college in Palakkad, highlighting the recurring issue of such protests. The protest guidelines, as mandated by The Hindu, require comments to be in English, in full sentences, and free from abusive or personal remarks.
