Upon arriving at the site in 무안군, 무안국제공항, she witnessed the ongoing search efforts. In subsequent meetings with the affected families, Prime Minister 한 reiterated her apologies and promised to "sincerely reveal the facts and carry their pain together" while "doing my best to provide a clear direction with your guidance."

She acknowledged that her delayed arrival was a matter of regret and expressed her disappointment that no specific promises were made. The Prime Minister's visit marks the first time in the 이재명 government to personally inspect the 사고 현장. The 유가족협의회's representative, 김유진, criticized the slow progress and inadequate investigations, demanding five key actions: administrative reform, official apologies, and the prosecution of responsible individuals.

The Prime Minister's promised review could take until the end of August, but ongoing challenges remain due to the challenging terrain.
