Steelers reunite with linebacker Elandon Roberts, signing the veteran to a 1-year deal

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Elandon Roberts, a veteran linebacker, has reunited with the Pittsburgh Steelers, signing a one-year contract with the team. Roberts, who played for the Steelers from 2023 to 2024, returns to his former squad. The 32-year-old has made 694 tackles, recorded 14.5 sacks, and contributed with an interception throughout his 10-year career.

He earned Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots in 2016 and 2018 before joining the Miami Dolphins and subsequently the Steelers. Former Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin praised Roberts for his aggressive play style, particularly his effectiveness against the run. He began 29 games during his two stints in Pittsburgh. The inside linebacker unit now comprises Roberts, Patrick Queen, Payton Wilson, and Cole Holcomb.
