SpaceXAI Launches Grok Bot to Let AI Agents Do Your Everyday Work

SpaceXAI has introduced Grok Bot in beta, a service that offers users persistent AI agents capable of working across various platforms with minimal supervision. Unlike typical chatbots, each Grok Bot utilizes a persistent cloud computer, signs into services, and performs multi-step tasks before returning to the user once completed or awaiting further approval.

These agents can operate in the background even when the user's computer is inactive. Multiple AI agents can operate concurrently, with the ability to communicate with one another, share context during overlapping projects, and coordinate responsibilities. The bots also retain role-specific context between tasks, enabling them to remember workflows, recall previous conversations, and adapt to users' preferred working styles.

SpaceXAI has already leveraged earlier versions internally for various tasks, such as researching sales leads overnight, retrieving expense receipts from emails, and addressing software bugs. Grok Bot is currently available to SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Ultra, and Cursor Teams Premium subscribers, while macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS platforms are supported initially, with Android support expected later.

Businesses and larger teams can also join a waitlist for future access. The product positions SpaceXAI in the burgeoning workplace-agent market alongside services like OpenAI's ChatGPT Work and Anthropic's Claude Cowork. However, the launch also raises security concerns as Grok Bot necessitates access to accounts and services to execute tasks.

A prior investigation into Grok Build revealed that the coding tool transmitted entire tracked Git repositories and their histories to xAI's cloud, and files containing committed secrets could also be incorporated. SpaceXAI's documentation advises users to review approvals, security, and privacy settings before granting Grok Bot access to sensitive systems.

SpaceX is moving closer to acquiring Anysphere, the company behind Cursor, with a $60 billion all-stock deal expected to close in Q3 2026, after which Cursor will become a wholly owned SpaceX subsidiary.
