Samsung completes new HVAC manufacturing facility in India

Samsung Electronics has finalized the construction of a new HVAC manufacturing facility in Pune, India, under the FlaktGroup brand. This state-of-the-art facility, spanning 13,826 square meters, will serve as a production hub for the company's HVAC products in India and Asia-Pacific markets. FlaktGroup CEO David Dorney and Samsung Electronics' Head of Digital Appliances Business, Kim Cheol-gi, attended the ceremony marking the facility's completion.

The new plant can produce up to 6,500 HVAC units annually, featuring a diverse range of equipment. This includes FlaktGroup's flagship air handling units (AHUs), which utilize coolants to regulate temperature and ensure optimal indoor air quality in data centers and large commercial buildings. Additionally, the facility will manufacture fan wall units (FWUs), compact air circulation systems mounted on walls, and computer room air handlers (CRAHs) that provide climate control for computer rooms.

With its rapid construction timeline of just six months, the facility demonstrates Samsung's commitment to expanding its global manufacturing footprint and meeting the growing demand for HVAC solutions in the region.
