Rooney to co-host new Man Utd show with Goldbridge

Wayne Rooney will co-host a new Manchester United-focused show this season, set to air alongside influencer Mark Goldbridge. The partnership is part of a distribution deal with Disney+, which will broadcast 50 episodes of Stick to United and 40 episodes of Stick to Football this season. Former United captain Gary Neville acquired Goldbridge's YouTube channels earlier this year, integrating them into his Overlap network.

Rooney, already a regular pundit on the Overlap's Stick to Football show, will now front the new Stick to United with Wayne Rooney. Neville emphasizes that the partnership expands their reach without compromising their identity. The Overlap, founded by Neville in 2021, has since expanded into various sports. Neville, who co-chairs the company, paid a seven-figure sum to acquire Goldbridge's channels in April.

Goldbridge, who goes by Brent di Cesare, boasts over 3.8 million followers across his YouTube channels, with his videos often going viral for his outrageous reactions and controversial football opinions. Neville has previously criticized Arsenal's fan YouTube channel, ArsenalFanTV, calling it embarrassing after fans berated their manager following a 3-1 defeat by Chelsea in 2017.

This led to a Twitter feud between Neville and ArsenalFanTV. The Wayne Rooney Show will return to BBC platforms, and Rooney will continue his punditry role on Match of the Day.
