Robber referred to urgent criminal trial after quintuple homicide in Fifth Settlement

The Public Prosecution has ordered a suspect to face an urgent criminal trial following the murder of a man, his wife, and their two daughters in the Fifth Settlement of New Cairo. The investigation began after the bodies of the four victims, who had been reported missing, were discovered with gunshot wounds. Over a 48-hour period, prosecutors examined the crime scene, conducted autopsies, and analyzed CCTV footage to track the victims’ movements. They found that the perpetrator was a friend of the family.

The suspect confessed to the premeditated murders, revealing that the husband had refused to lend him money. He planned to steal the husband’s money and gold jewelry. The suspect lured the husband to Katameya, where he shot him three times before taking his key and disposing of his body. Later, the suspect contacted the husband’s wife and their two daughters, claiming the husband had been in a traffic accident to lure them to the vehicle.

There, he shot them five times, killing them all. The suspect then attempted to rob the house but was stopped by a building guard.

Forensic evidence, including mobile tower data and witness statements, corroborated the suspect’s confession. Biometric analysis matched the suspect’s image in the surveillance footage. Consequently, the Public Prosecution ordered the suspect’s immediate arrest and held him in custody for an urgent criminal trial.
