Remi Tinubu urges youths to stay focused, work hard

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu addressed young Nigerians on International Youth Day 2026, urging them to remain focused and committed to hard work. In her message, she echoed the global theme, “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” acknowledging that despite their varied backgrounds, young people worldwide share aspirations for quality education, meaningful employment, equal opportunities, and a sustainable future.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of education, innovation, entrepreneurship, and active citizenship in helping young people achieve their dreams and contribute to Nigeria’s growth. She called on stakeholders nationwide to provide enabling opportunities for the youth to realize their full potential. The annual International Youth Day, observed on August 12 by the United Nations, highlights the role of young people in socio-economic development and addresses their challenges and aspirations globally.
