KUALA LUMPUR: A morning MRT ride took a chaotic turn when a rat darted through a carriage, causing passengers to scatter in its path. A video on social media captured the rodent scurrying between feet before leaping at some commuters, leading to panic among several travelers. The incident sparked various reactions online, with some emphasizing the significance of cleanliness and refraining from eating or drinking on trains.

One user, Hayyadt, noted that leaving food scraps can attract pests. Another user, Tiredramisu, expressed extreme fear of rats, stating that even the sound of one would be distressing, let alone seeing one up close. The frantic efforts of passengers to avoid the rat also amused some netizens, with one joking that the rodent seemed equally frightened as it found itself trapped inside the train.
