Police issue gag order on details surrounding disappearance of Mali, Liel Yahalomi in Vienna

The Israeli police have imposed a gag order on the investigation into the disappearance of Mali and Liel Yahalomi in Vienna, according to a statement released on Thursday. The order was issued after YALK, part of the Lahav 433 crime-fighting unit, requested that no details of the investigation be published. The Yahalomis have been missing in Vienna since Friday, August 7, and failed to board their scheduled return flight from Prague on Tuesday night.

Austrian police continue to investigate the case, but have not found any leads so far. The vacation apartment where they were staying was found empty, and their phones were later located near a Vienna train station. Suspicion has grown that the two may have been abducted, as their trail has gone cold. Israeli police questioned other family members, but ruled out the mother's involvement in an embezzlement scheme.

Mali Yahalomi's brother-in-law, Amir Rudnik, shared the latest information with the media, stating that there is little information available and that the two had been on a regular mother-daughter trip. The Israeli Embassy in Vienna issued an appeal for help in locating the two Israeli citizens, Mali and Liel Yahalomi, after losing contact with them on Friday.
