Pixel Buds Pro 2 Get Dynamic ANC, Smarter Translation and New Color

Google has enhanced the Pixel Buds Pro 2 with several new features without releasing a new version. The Olive color variant, set to launch on August 12, brings Dynamic Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). This feature adapts to slight changes in earbud fit, ensuring consistent noise cancellation. The hardware remains the same, matching the existing Pixel Buds Pro 2 specs.

Additionally, Live Translate has been made more user-friendly. Users can now activate translation by tapping the earbuds and listen to speech in real-time, supporting over 70 languages. The feature allows for bidirectional translation, enabling users to speak in their native language and have their Pixel phone translate the speech for the other person.

Integration with Google's Gemini AI and Pixel Watch is also expanded. Users can now control earbud settings via voice commands, like adjusting bass. Furthermore, Pixel Watch sleep tracking will sync with the earbuds, pausing audio playback, muting notifications, and disabling touch controls when the user falls asleep. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 software updates roll out in September, following the discounted price of $189, down from $229.
