The Boryeong Mud Festival in South Korea saw participants enjoying a pool of mud near a beach. In Kolkata, India, devotees dressed as Lord Krishna took part in the Rath Yatra or Chariot Journey Festival. This festival, one of the oldest and largest Hindu celebrations, commemorates the journey of deities Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra from Puri to Gundicha Temple.

Electronic music festival Tomorrowland took place in Boom, Belgium, drawing fans of the genre. In Moscow, Russia, water sports enthusiasts gathered for the Two Rivers festival, and in Jerusalem, Israel, the 65th Israel Festival unfolded along the border between east and west.
