Former Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun mourned the loss of her husband, Adeniyi Adeosun, during his funeral on Thursday. She described his death as "heartbreaking" but also expressed gratitude for the years they shared. Adeosun said her husband, who was 62, died suddenly on August 5 and had no prior illness. She recalled visiting his mortuary and seeing him with a peaceful expression, saying, "He wasn't sick. He simply went to sleep and didn't wake up... that's the way I'd like to go."

The former minister reflected on their 33-year marriage, remembering their plans to travel together more frequently. She described Adeniyi as a "mischievous human being" and shared some memorable moments from their life together, including his attempt to avoid long immigration queues by declaring himself disabled during a trip to the United States.

Adeosun emphasized that their home was filled with laughter and that their family and friends would deeply miss their beloved husband. She expressed her gratitude to God for his life, their marriage, and their children.
