Hamzah Zainudin emphasized that Malay unity is crucial for political stability and enabling the nation to progress together, highlighting that non-Malay communities have shown readiness to cooperate since independence. The President of the Wawasan Negara Party (Wawasan) stated that non-Malays should not fear Malay unity, as they should be more joyful since unity would bring safety and tranquility to the nation, allowing everyone to live peacefully.

He added that focusing on national advancement should follow, in a post-meeting interview with FMT. This statement came after the discussion on Malay-Muslim cooperation political collaboration, resurfacing amid the pre-election race between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Perikatan Nasional (PN) in Negeri Sembilan this month. While BN and PN have united under the platform of Malay-Islam unity, it remains uncertain if this collaboration will continue for the upcoming elections, including the potentially early PRN Melaka.

Given that Malays and Bumiputeras make up around 70% of the population, Hamzah argued that divisions among the majority could lead to political instability and hinder economic development. He emphasized that Malay unity should not be viewed as the ultimate goal but rather the foundation for cooperation among all communities. "The future of the nation lies in its economy; it is not about whether a particular community must unite," he said.

He noted that Malaysia's problems become more complex when diverse communities and political factions pursue individual agendas, each prioritizing their interests over others. Hamzah stressed that Wawasan seeks to form a national agenda based on trust, enabling the majority and minority groups to work together for the nation's future.

"The most important thing is that we trust each other. The main agenda should be the majority group cooperating with the minority and everyone considering the nation's future," he concluded, positioning Wawasan as a bridge between political parties and society, with a focus on competence, integrity, stability, and cooperation across communities.
