Nova Poshta shifts to decentralized sorting, deploys backup processing system

Ukraine's leading express delivery company, Nova Poshta, has announced a shift towards a decentralized sorting model to safeguard customers' parcels and ensure consistent deliveries amidst wartime conditions. In a Telegram channel update on Tuesday, the company disclosed its strategy to bolster logistics operations, currently comprising over 56,000 service points.

Nova Poshta's primary objective remains delivering packages quickly under any circumstances, emphasizing the company's commitment to stability despite the challenges. However, for security reasons related to employees, customers, and logistics processes, the company refrained from disclosing further details about the reorganization, backup routes, or facility locations.

On the preceding day, Nova Poshta informed its social media audience via Threads of potential delivery delays due to the destruction of central sorting hubs and the reconfiguration of logistical processes. To counteract this, the company has deployed backup routes and additional sorting centers, resulting in shipments potentially passing through facilities not previously utilized under standard routes.

On August 5, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian commercial and logistics infrastructure, causing significant damage. The attack destroyed a Nova Poshta sorting center in Kyiv, Rozetka's largest distribution center in Brovary, a NOVUS logistics center, and two Fozzy Group distribution centers.
