Notre Dame's Leonard Moore and Anthonie Knapp are ESPN All-Americans

Notre Dame football players Anthonie Knapp and Leonard Moore have both been named to ESPN's 2026 preseason All-American list. This marks the second time both players have made the list. The Fighting Irish join five other teams with two players each on the prestigious list, with Texas leading the pack with five players. Moore, a former three-star recruit, is described as "the definition of a lockdown cornerback" who allowed only one game with 30 or more yards in press coverage last fall.

He also had the second-most snaps in press coverage of any FBS defensive back. Moore's college career has been marked by consistency, as he was a unanimous All-American in 2025. Knapp, meanwhile, has been a first-team starter at left tackle since his freshman year in 2024, during a run to the national title game. He has already played 27 career starts and will transition to left guard, a move that is expected to showcase his toughness in the run game.
