MP Kagombe: Bensuda’s prayer exposed Deputy President lobbying at Naivasha retreat

According to Kagombe, Bensuda used the prayer session as a platform to push for political changes regarding the Deputy President's position, causing discomfort among some leaders.

During the prayers, Bensuda reportedly began by seeking divine assistance in lobbying for the Deputy President, adding an unexpected political dimension to the event. The Gatundu South MP observed murmurs, even before the prayers concluded, suggesting underlying tensions within the coalition government ahead of the 2027 General Election.

The Naivasha retreat, which gathered leaders from the United Democratic Alliance and the Orange Democratic Movement, aimed to evaluate the four-year scorecard, but Kagombe's account indicates that discussions about the country’s future political arrangement were already underway.
