Mohn-arving snudde milliardtap til overskudd

Perestroika, the investment company founded by Frederik Wilhelm Mohn, reported a remarkable profit in 2025, significantly improving from a loss of 1.98 billion kroner in 2024. The company's revenue increased to 471 million kroner, compared to a loss of 1.91 billion kroner the previous year. The major reason for the significant turnaround is the change in financial items, with net financial items jumping from a deficit of 2.22 billion kroner in 2024 to a surplus of 253 million kroner.

Their investment returns also saw a boost to 307 million kroner, up from 267 million the previous year. The largest single investment was Transocean, where Mohn owns 8.7 percent of the shares. Mohn is also a member of Transocean's board. Earlier this year, Transocean merged with Valaris, where Mohn and John Fredriksen each hold around five percent of the shares.

Perestroika also made numerous other investments throughout the year, including a significant purchase of shares in Shelf Drilling for 5.62 kroner per share. Later in the year, Shelf Drilling merged with a Saudi Arabian rig company, ADES. Mohn also increased his exposure to real estate, purchasing 200,000 new shares in JM, a Stockholm-listed company, and increasing his stake in Selvaag Bolig. The company proposes a total dividend and supplementary dividend of 107 million kroner.
