A telemedicine startup called Amble Health is offering a $345 emergency kit known as the "Oh Sh*T Kit" that includes prescription medications purportedly designed to protect against the effects of nuclear disasters. The contents of the kit include iodine tablets, Prussian blue pills, and anti-nausea medication. According to the company's website, "If the unthinkable happens, whether from an accident, disaster, or other radiological event, having the right medications on hand can make a critical difference in the earliest hours."

A prescription is required to purchase the kit, which can be obtained through Amble Health's telehealth service. The company's website claims that the kit is "primarily focused" on individuals who work in industries where they are routinely exposed to radiation. However, experts argue that the kit may not be as effective as advertised.

The iodine tablets, for example, are relatively inexpensive and can be purchased without a prescription at many pharmacies. While they may provide some protection against certain types of radioactive exposure, they are not a cure-all solution.
