Maxis continues Goh Seow Eng's tenure as executive director

Maxis Bhd has decided to maintain the position of Goh Seow Eng as its executive director, according to a filing with Bursa Malaysia. Goh has been in the role since December 1, 2022. Before joining Maxis, Goh held significant leadership positions in the telecommunications and financial sectors. He led the home business division at Singtel in Singapore, overseeing fibre broadband, pay-TV, and fixed-line services.

Goh also served as president and chief operating officer of Advanced Info Service Plc in Thailand. Prior to that, he was Astro Malaysia's chief operating officer of the consumer group. Goh's career includes roles at Citibank in various global locations and as head of credit card marketing for Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco. He holds advanced degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of California, Berkeley, and Harvard Business School.

Goh's ownership includes 1.02 million shares in Maxis, plus a further 3.60 million shares, and 6,200 shares held by his spouse, as per Section 59(11)(c) of the Companies Act 2016.
