Maxim Malaysia expands small business support programme nationwide

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 13 — Maxim Malaysia is expanding its small business support programme to cover the entire nation, providing free equipment and hygiene-focused assistance to local entrepreneurs. The initiative, initially launched in over 50 cities, has now grown to include numerous businesses such as restaurants, hotels, service providers, educational institutions, and market vendors.

This nationwide programme is open to businesses of all sizes and aims to enhance operational efficiency while contributing to cleaner and more organized public spaces. Maxim Malaysia collaborates closely with entrepreneurs to identify their specific operational needs, offering practical equipment that includes branded aprons, market umbrellas, "Open/Closed" signs, and various signage materials.

The program's primary focus is on raising hygiene standards in popular public areas like markets and food courts, ultimately helping vendors maintain cleanliness during food preparation and sales, thereby reducing contamination risks and fostering consumer confidence. Mohd Hazwan Musley, Director of Maxim Malaysia, emphasized the importance of supporting small entrepreneurs in Malaysia's local economy, stating that every business, regardless of size, deserves the chance to grow.

One beneficiary, food vendor Salleh Bakhri, highlighted the positive impact of the assistance on his stall's appearance and customer experience, noting that Maxim Malaysia provided a new menu book, signboard, and banner, making his stall look more professional and organized. These improvements have made it easier for customers to identify his business and browse the menu comfortably.

In addition to its business support programme, Maxim Malaysia continues to engage with government agencies, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and community groups across the country on long-term social initiatives aimed at improving quality of life, strengthening local economies, and promoting sustainable community development.
