Man City's Reijnders set for £52m Saudi move

Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders is poised to transfer to Saudi Pro-League club Al-Qadsiah for £52 million. The Dutch international, who signed for City from AC Milan for £46.5 million last summer, made a strong debut but found it difficult to make a significant impact during Pep Guardiola's final season at the club.

Reijnders, 28, trained separately from City's main squad on Thursday, edging closer to a move to a team now overseen by former Liverpool, Celtic, and Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers. His departure is likely to be part of a major midfield shake-up at City, with Rodri's future in doubt and interest in Chelsea's Argentine Enzo Fernandez growing.

Reijnders represented the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup, featuring in three matches including group games against Japan, Sweden, and Tunisia, but was absent from the last-32 tie against Morocco which ended in a penalty loss.
