Lindsay Clancy searched 'can you treat a sociopath' prior to killing children

On January 20, 2023, four days before Lindsay Clancy allegedly killed her three children, her phone was used to search the question, "Can you treat a sociopath?" This fact was revealed during her trial on Thursday, as testified by state police investigator Timothy Chiappini and Sgt. Kyle Pavao. Clancy is currently pleading not guilty to the three murder charges related to the deaths of her five-year-old daughter Cora, three-year-old son Dawson, and infant son Callan, who were killed at their family home in Duxbury, a Boston suburb, on January 24, 2023.

Clancy's defense team does not dispute her responsibility for the children's deaths but argues she should not be held criminally accountable due to her postpartum psychosis at the time of the incident. In her phone notes, Clancy expressed her struggles with parenting and her mental health, admitting to the depression and sadness she felt for not being able to parent her newborn Callan as she had wanted to.
