‘Kill Accord members’: We’ll shame Fadahunsi in 150 countries – Amnesty International

Amnesty International, the renowned human rights organization, has declared its intention to publicly shame Osun East Senatorial District Representative, Francis Fadahunsi, for his inflammatory remarks targeting members of the Accord Party. In an interview with Channels Television's 'Sunrise Daily' on Thursday, Amnesty International's Country Director in Nigeria, Isa Sanusi, voiced his firm resolve.

Fadahunsi found himself in a heated video where he allegedly encouraged his supporters to assassinate any Accord Party member should they come across one prior to the forthcoming Osun governorship election. In response to Fadahunsi's abhorrent statement, Amnesty International vowed to make him the poster child for inciting violence ahead of elections in the 150 countries under its jurisdiction.

The organization emphasized that such electoral violence incitement is a heinous crime under international law and Nigerian legislation. Sanusi proclaimed, "A man who endorses such hatred does not deserve any peace, again, because advocating for hatred is unacceptable." Therefore, Amnesty International aims to hold Fadahunsi and other politicians accountable to the people, ensuring that they face consequences for their actions, especially when the government fails to do so.
