Jeremy Doku signs five-year contract extension with Man City

Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku has committed his future to the club with a five-year contract extension. The 24-year-old has been instrumental in City's success, scoring 22 goals and providing 34 assists in 131 appearances. These achievements have helped City claim the Premier League, Club World Cup, FA Cup, and League Cup titles.

Doku has also earned 48 caps for Belgium and represented his country at the recent World Cup. With new manager Enzo Maresca at the helm, Doku expressed his excitement for the upcoming Premier League season, which begins on August 21. Maresca, who replaced Pep Guardiola, praised Doku's development under the club's staff and highlighted his dynamic playing style, stating that it aligns with what they seek in a winger.

City's director of football, Hugo Viana, emphasized Doku's exceptional talent and the special qualities he brings to the team, reaffirming the club's decision to offer him the long-term contract, which will keep him at the Etihad Stadium until at least 2031.
