I’ll defeat all my contenders in NPP Women’s Organiser race – Evangelist Perpetual Asante

Evangelist Perpetual Asante, an aspirant for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Greater Accra Regional Women’s Organiser position, is confident of emerging victorious in the forthcoming election. She views herself as the essential institutional memory the party requires to reorganise and achieve a triumphant return in the 2028 general elections.

"All my contenders in the Women’s Organiser race are my mentees, and I will defeat them all because I have devoted my life to the NPP," she declared. Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen, Evangelist Asante highlighted her extensive experience of 30 years serving the NPP, including eight years as Deputy Operations Director under the former First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo, which she believes has equipped her with the necessary skills to lead the party’s women’s wing in the region.

She also mentioned that she initially planned to contest for the position but stepped aside to allow her senior, Grace Acheampong, to contest, instead serving as her deputy, which allowed her to work across constituencies in the region. Describing herself as a "people’s person," Evangelist Asante emphasized that her campaign was built on maturity, experience, loyalty, and commitment to the NPP.

She assured that with God’s help, she will be named the Greater Accra Regional Women’s Organiser in the upcoming Saturday election. Her aspirations extend beyond winning the regional position to contributing to the NPP’s efforts to regain power in 2028, with a possible victory for Bawumia as the next president. Evangelist Asante stressed that her three decades of service to the NPP have provided her with the crucial grassroots experience and understanding needed to strengthen the party’s structures in Greater Accra.
