‘If anyone has issues, skip it’: Gauahar Khan, Zaid Darbar on marrying despite family objection

Actor Gauahar Khan and dancer Zaid Darbar appeared on Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi's YouTube show Double Date to share their unique love story. The couple, who have a six-year age gap, faced objections from their families about their impending marriage, despite their own desire to wed. Zaid initially reached out to Gauahar through direct messages on social media during the pandemic, despite initially being hesitant to make the first move.

Gauahar recounted how Zaid's initial message sparked a conversation that soon revealed the 6-year age difference between them. The couple married in December 2025, shortly after which Gauahar's father passed away, adding an emotional element to their journey. Zaid's parents divorced when he was ten years old, an experience that shaped his perspective on relationships. Zaid and Gauahar have two children, Zehaan and Farwaan.
