Harry Brook Hints At IPL Return After 2-Year Ban, Says He Will Think About Playing Again

Harry Brook, the current England white-ball captain, has not dismissed the possibility of returning to the Indian Premier League (IPL) despite serving a two-year ban. The cricketer, currently speaking to Cricinfo during The Hundred season, made it clear that his primary focus remains with England for now. However, Brook indicated he would consider playing in the IPL again once his ban is lifted.

He acknowledged the IPL as a prestigious and valuable competition, providing players with opportunities to learn, improve, and grow as cricketers.

Brook's decision to stay away from the IPL was not based on a permanent aversion to the tournament. Instead, he prioritized his international commitments over franchise cricket. His earlier stint in the league with Sunrisers Hyderabad, where he scored a century against Kolkata Knight Riders, and subsequent move to Delhi Capitals did not indicate a long-term change in his views.

The ban on Brook's IPL participation came after he withdrew from the 2025 IPL season, citing his international schedule as the reason. While his comments do not indicate a shift in his stance, they suggest that the door could open again for Brook once his two-year ban is over.
