'Exercise Due Caution': NBEMS Warns Against ‘False, Incorrect Or Misleading’ NEET PG 2026 Test City Information On Social Media

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has warned NEET PG 2026 candidates against sharing false, incorrect or misleading information about their allotted test city on social media. In a post on August 13, NBEMS stated that such actions may attract appropriate legal action. The warning came after several posts on social media circulated screenshots of purported NEET PG 2026 test-city messages, including fictional locations and edited images.

One such post claimed the test city was Karachi, Pakistan, while another suggested Quetta, Balochistan, Pakistan. Another displayed Doomstadt, Latveria, as the allotted city. One of these posts included the #NEETPG hashtag. A candidate, Dr Bisikeshan Panda, requested NBEMS reconsider his test city, citing the need for a shorter travel distance from his residence in Burla, Sambalpur, Odisha.

NBEMS informed Panda that his correspondence address was Jajpur, Odisha, and he was allotted to Cuttack, approximately 84 km away. NBEMS clarified that the city allocation process was complete and changes were not generally permitted, but they cited the examination date for their decision. The board emphasized the importance of candidates refraining from sharing unverified test-city information and warned that posting or sharing false, incorrect or misleading information may lead to legal consequences.
