Dubai Fitness Challenge is returning for its 10th edition this year

The Dubai Fitness Challenge will return for its tenth season in 2026, running from October 31 to November 29. Launched in 2017 by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, the challenge encourages residents and visitors to dedicate 30 minutes of physical activity per day for 30 days. The city will host a series of free events, classes, and community activities throughout the month.

Among the highlights are Dubai Ride and Dubai Run, which have been popular annual events in recent years. Dubai Ride, scheduled for November 1, will be a car-free cycling event on Sheikh Zayed Road, the city's main thoroughfare. The event will feature two routes, a 4km family-friendly course around Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera, and Burj Khalifa, and a 12km more challenging circuit. Registration will open soon, with 40,327 participants expected to take part in 2026, up from 37,130 in 2024.

Dubai Stand-Up Paddle will return to Hatta on November 7 and 8, offering complimentary stand-up paddle boarding sessions with a mountainous backdrop. Dubai Run, taking place on November 22, transforms Sheikh Zayed Road into a temporary running track. Both 5km and 10km courses will be available, starting at 6.30am, with runners finishing by 9am when the road reopens to car traffic.

Registration details will be announced soon, and the free event is open to runners of all ages and abilities, with 307,000 runners participating in 2024. Dubai Yoga will be held on November 29 at Zabeel Park, concluding the month-long fitness festival with an uplifting sunset session.
